[Latest News] OpenAI hires OpenClaw AI agent tool's creator
OpenAI has hired the Austrian creator of OpenClaw, a viral artificial intelligence tool able to execute real-world tasks, according to CEO Sam Altman.
At the 20th ACM Asia Conference on Computer and Communications Security (AsiaCCS 2025) held from August 25–29 in Hanoi, Vietnam emerged as a rising force in the global cybersecurity arena. The event drew 373 delegates from 34 countries and territories, highlighting the nation’s expanding role in the international scientific community.
Associate Professor Hoàng Minh Sơn, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, opened the conference, stating that AsiaCCS is a seminal forum for cybersecurity, privacy protection, and information security. He emphasized that hosting the conference reinforces Vietnam’s growing stature in these fields.

Professor Phan Dương Hiệu, co-chair of AsiaCCS 2025, noted that the event serves as a bridge between local and international researchers and encourages collaboration in training and research. He called the conference a source of inspiration for young scientists to pursue cybersecurity innovations.
During a conference side event, Moti Yung—a renowned Google and Columbia University security expert—described this as the perfect moment for Vietnam to ramp up investment in science. He emphasized the importance of co-developing AI and cybersecurity technologies to ensure that powerful tools like artificial intelligence are used safely and effectively.

AsiaCCS, organized annually by the ACM, brings together elite researchers, experts, and enterprises in computer and communications security. The 2025 edition featured 114 peer-reviewed research papers out of 558 submissions, a selective acceptance rate of 20.4%, and drew authors from countries including the U.S., China, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and Taiwan.
